It’s that time of year again! Time to grab a box and fill it with the Nolensville Food Pantry’s most needed items.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from The Village Church we are able to provide the boxes again this year for this initiative. Providing boxes that are all uniform in size and shape helps the pantry manage the collection and storage of all the goods that come in.
It’s easy to participate:
ONE – Pick up a box
You can pick up your box(es) from any of the following pick up locations:
TWO – Choose Your Calendar
You can choose from the FOOD ITEMS calendar or the HOUSEHOLD/HYGIENE ITEMS calendar. Both calendars feature the items in the highest demand at the food pantry.
THREE – FILL THE BOX
Place an item in your box according to what is listed on the calendar each day. If you have children, get them involved. Have them read the calendar and determine which item is to be added that day. We also encourage decorating the boxes. Write messages on the boxes, draw pictures, put your personal touch on the box you will be gifting to a lucky family.
FOUR – Deliver the Filled Box
If you are in town on December 24th, we would love for you to join us at the Kroger on Nolensville Road and Concord Road between 9:00 am and noon. We invite the community to come out that day and bring your filled boxes. We will have Christmas music, treats, and Santa himself might even be there taking a small break before he has to make his trip around the world later.
“I was the recipient of the boxes last year and can’t express how much that blessed my family during a season when we fell on hard times. To be able to pick up a box that was filled with household items that we really needed was incredibly helpful. Nobody wants to rely on the assistance of others, but when you need it, it’s just amazing what is made available to us right here in our community. We are so grateful”
